MINUTES OF THE HINGHAM SCHOOL COMMITTEE
February 25, 2008
The meeting was called to order by Chrisanne Gregoire at 7:37 p.m. in the School Department Conference Room.
Members Present: Chrisanne Gregoire, Christine Smith, Barbara Cook, Caryl Falvey, Esther Healey, Linda Hill.
Central Office Present: Dot Galo, Ellen Keane, David Killory, Jean Curtis Loud.
Visitors Present: Alan Freedman, Sharon McKay, Maryann Shafter, Irma Lauter, Carol Meyer of the Hingham Journal.

Voted: To approve the Minutes of the Regular Session of February 11, 2008.
On a motion by Esther Healey and seconded by Barbara Cook,

Voted: To approve the Minutes of the Executive Session of February 11, 2008, as corrected.
New Business.
The Committee discussed budget priorities for FY ’09 Operating and Capital budgets. Dot Galo reviewed possible areas of reduction currently under exploration for the FY ’09 Operating budget. The public hearing for the FY ’09 budget will be on March 10, 2008. David Killory noted that the FY ’09 school capital plan with suggested revisions was approved by the Capital Outlay Committee and reviewed several projected amounts for photocopiers and technology.
The Committee discussed plans for the Special Town Meeting on March 3 at 7:00 p.m.
